Test and protective chambers for the defence sector
Albatross Projects plans and builds electromagnetically shielded rooms and anechoic chambers for the defence sector. Among other things, these rooms are used to test the electromagnetic compatibility of electronic equipment, to measure the radar cross section of aircraft or to assess the eavesdropping security of communications technology used for military purposes. The application fields include secure chambers to protect against eavesdropping/spying (TEMPEST) and to defend against electromagnetic pulses.
Significant experience with military projects
Albatross Projects has over 50 years of experience with projects completed on behalf of military customers, the intelligence services, ministries of the interior and foreign ministries. Our specialists for the defence sector are familiar with the high standards of secrecy and are used to installing tailored chambers with a minimum of technical information. In this, we base our activities on the latest versions of current standards like MIL-STD or RCTA/DO-160.
Military standards are exceeded by far
The structure and system components used in our military test chambers are equivalent to our test chambers for civilian purposes – which are subject to stricter industrial standards. This means that we outperform the military standards by some distance.
Proprietary validation
When needed, we apply reliable methods to test whether the completed room satisfies the required shielding and absorption performance.
